【Abstract】 Health status identification is the basis and key link of implementing health management. Guided by the
eight-character meridian theory of dredging collaterals and preserving health, this paper puts forward the identification of the
healthy state of collaterals, essence, shape and spirit; Differentiation of essence: deficiency of kidney essence, deficiency of
essence and bone, deficiency of essence and brain failure, deficiency of essence and lack of blood; Differentiation of shape:
shape of collaterals and internal shape of collaterals; Differentiation of mind: mental injury and depression, mental anxiety,
mental fatigue and forgetfulness, mental decline and insomnia. The physical and mental health status of sub-healthy and chro-
nic disease people was comprehensively analyzed and evaluated in four aspects of collaterals, essence, shape and spirit by u-
sing traditional Chinese medicine diagnostic methods and modern diagnostic techniques, providing the premise and basis for
the application of the“Eight-character theory of Tongluo Regimen”to guide the implementation of health management.
